Deodorant and antiperspirant are products used to control body odor and perspiration. While both products can be effective, they work differently and have different active ingredients. Deodorants mask body odor by using fragrances and other ingredients to cover up the smell of sweat. Antiperspirants, on the other hand, work by temporarily blocking the sweat glands to reduce the amount of sweat produced. The active ingredient in antiperspirants is aluminum chloride, which is not found in deodorants. Moreover, deodorants contain moisturizers, oils, and other ingredients to keep the skin hydrated and prevent irritation.
